About the role 

We are a busy, private and independently owned day hospital specialising in women’s health, maxillofacial and cosmetic surgery. We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Full-Time Administration Officer  to join our friendly team at Brisbane Day Hospital.

A strong administrative skill set, combined with exceptional communication and leadership skills will see you succeeding in this role. The successful candidate will provide front line service to patients, as well as ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the day hospital by providing administrative support to clinicians, nursing staff and other service providers.

You will love working in a multidisciplinary team environment and will thrive on delivering a high level of care and service.



The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Reception and general administration duties

  • Opening and or closing of the Hospital

  • Medical & Theatre bookings

  • Monitoring incoming phone calls, mail, emails and faxes and appropriately action

  • Managing Theatre lists

  • Patient invoicing (Medicare, Surgeons rooms, and private health funds)

  • Identify opportunities for growth and process efficiencies


Knowledge and criteria required for this role:

  • Proficient computer skills inc. Microsoft Office

  • Time management, organizational and communication skills

  • Exceptional customer service skills

  • Ability to multitask with high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team environment and communicate effectively

  • A keenness to learn and a proactive approach to change


Essential knowledge:
